This review is for the restaurant only. The Sporthotel is opposite Grünberg - very quiet, surrounded by greenery, between forest and field, is a bit older (built in the late 1950s - you shouldn't be confused by the exterior), but the interior has been nicely renovated . We were greeted in a friendly manner in the restaurant and were given a table without having made a reservation in advance (if the temperature is pleasant, you can also sit on the terrace). First, a "greeting from the kitchen" was served, consisting of three different, very tasty types of bread and two different side dishes, such as bacon cakes and spreads. My wife took the pumpkin cream soup with wonton / cream foam and the chanterelles with napkin dumplings and salad with a wonderful dressing, I got three kinds of fish fillets prepared Mashed potatoes that have been lightly refined with wasabi. In addition, the crisp, prepared vegetables of the season were on my plate (there could have been 2 or 3 more cocktail cherries - they were breathtakingly delicious!). It should also be mentioned that all the dishes came out of the kitchen very nicely. The menu is clear, but exquisite and surprises with changing (seasonal) offers. The service is very attentive, friendly and helpful. In terms of price, we found the dishes a bit expensive, but here you dine at star level - and then, in retrospect, you gain the conviction that it was worth it! Anyone looking for something special (pure enjoyment) has come to the right place. We felt very comfortable and ate excellent. Whether it is a large family celebration, romantic meal or conference meal (hotel) - the restaurant can adapt to your expectations with a wide range. Brunch is also offered here on Sundays, which is certainly highly recommended. And the sanitary facilities were clean and the vanity was inviting. 8th-) In any case, we will come more often to further explore the range of delights on offer. ----- We did it again. We were there for the Christmas brunch on the 4th of Advent. Uuund, there is nothing to complain about At most, Google Maps does not allow an extra star as a rating! 😒 It's nice that an extra room was even open for the bruncher. The 'spaciousness' between the tables should also be emphasized, i.e. there would have been enough space to roll the wheelchair to the last free table. And the range of delights alone was worth the 'entry'. I am not reporting now what was on offer, but you should simply make yourself comfortable to take advantage of the offer on such dates. Or, you can simply give away a pleasure voucher to lovely do-gooders. Dear restaurant team from the Sporthotel Grünberg, you did everything very well in the usual manner. We enjoyed it great! Thank you very much for everything that was presented! We'll be back again! Restaurant at Christmas brunch 2019 again against TOP! Especially the nice young man (in training) was very attentive, friendly and did his job very well. We were absolutely thrilled. Gladly come again next year and also in between.

Very nice rooms. Well and comfortably equipped. The sports facility is large and well maintained. The seminar rooms as well. The evening entertainment is also taken care of!

Sports facilities have no equipment (hats, boxes, etc.) Hall 2 + 3 are not usable in sunshine, Hall 1 is smaller than a normal, Quality in the actual hotel may not be bad but the rooms belonging to the sports facilities are on the old-fashioned youth hostel (beds too soft, eat on cafeteria level ...) I would not go back here

Stayed here for only one night. But the hotel has everything you need for a training camp. The national football team was here in the 90s and the women's national handball team stayed at the hotel in the early 2000s.

The sports hotel in Grünberg in the grounds of the sports school Grünberg of the Hessian Football Association acts as the whole area a bit dusty, the whole area exudes the charm of the 70-90s. The entire sports facilities could take a bit of attention. The complex is well out of Grünberg.

I am completely satisfied with the hotel. The seminar rooms were very good, the food was excellent, the rooms spacious and clean and the bar in the evening super comfortable.

Positive: lots of nature, large conservatory (dining room), good food selection, comfortable rooms. Negative: seminar rooms are not inviting, difficult to reach without a car

Spacious rooms and bathrooms, very friendly staff, breakfast with (just) good selection and quality, fruit / fruit salad fresh / without canned goods. Excellent: several electric charging stations! The quiet location in the countryside and in the best air is also a big plus.

+ Good functional equipment of the rooms. Great food and mostly good service. Hotel staff friendly and competent. - Very loud background noise in the rooms above the restaurants when events are taking place ... but then changing rooms was no problem. I would like to come again.

A nice area. The Sporthotel is nice and you can eat good and plentiful and different choice of food. The room was a non smoking room, great! It was very nice and very clean and a great balcony with a very nice view.

Beautiful area, clean ans cozy rooms. Nice Interior. 24h reception service. Awesome breakfast. Even great with a newborn.
